NORTHFIELD, Vt.--The Keene State College women's swimming and diving team set a new pool record en route to a big win over Norwich University at the Goodyear Pool on Saturday.
Women's Highlights
Kiley Young,
Alice Loucraft,
Jaelin Jang, and
Paige Carey made up the meet-opening 400 medley relay team that won in 4:24.26.
Emily Rogers won the 1,000 free in 12:08.30, and Loucraft took the 200 free in 2:10.73.
Young added an individual win in the 400 IM in 4:58.43, while Jang did the same in the 200 fly in 2:22.09.
Amanda Davies wrote her name into the winner's ledger in the 200 backstroke, in 2:29.79, and Rogers won her second event of the day in the 500 free in 6:04.71, as well as winning the 200 breaststroke in 2:49.06. Young, Loucraft, Jang, and Carey started the women's meet as it began - with a relay victory. The four won the 400 free relay in 3:51.56, setting a new pool record at the Goodyear Pool.
The Owls dominated the meet, winning 150-84.
Men's Highlights
Andrew Daur picked up a win for the Owls in the 200 backstroke, in 2:11.39.
Other top performers for the Owls included
Samuel Galipeau, who was second in the 1,000 free in 11:19.44, and
Aaron Turgeon, who was third in the 200 free in 1:53.64.
Jeremy Bartley was third in the 50 free in 23.53, while Turgeon was second in the 100 free in 51.67.
Quint Kimmel was second in the 500 free in 5:33.44.
Norwich took the team meet, 170-64.
The Owls are off until November 13, when they will take part in a double-dual meet with Wheaton and Springfield at Springfield's Art Linkletter Natatorium
