How it Happened
Eastern Connecticut State's first goal came at the 17:22 mark when freshman forward Cayden Boukus sent a ball into the box for senior forward Ryan Sirois, who then crossed it to sophomore midfielder Walter Scudder. Scudder then shot the ball into the net for his first goal of the season as the Warriors took a 1-0 lead.
Keene State's first goal came at 53:22 when the Warriors committed a handball in the box. Senior midfielder
Denis Fleming capitalized on the error by scoring on a penalty kick for his third goal in as many games to tie the match at one.
Just over six minutes later, the Warriors took the lead back off a corner kick. After a header by Sirois was stopped by the Owls, freshman midfielder Niall O'Brien kicked the ball into the net for his second goal of the season.
The Warriors then went up 3-1 at 81:31 when junior forward Caleb Ennin took the ball off a turnover near midfield and scored his first goal of the season. It would only take the Owls 11 seconds to respond.
Off the kickoff, senior midfielder
Noah Spaulding sent a pass toward the goal, where freshman forward
Nick Henao Vasquez scored his third goal of the week to make it a 3-2 game. But the Owls were unable to tie the match and would ultimately have their two-game winning streak snapped.
