KEENE, N.H.--Senior
Jacob Pearl was second overall, while the Keene State College women's cross country team was second as a unit at the Keene State College Invitational at Owl Athletic Complex on Saturday morning.
Men's Results
Pearl was second overall and first amongst LEC competitors, covering the 8K course in 25:20.81, beating Eastern Conn. State's Ryan Escoda by more nearly 35 seconds. Sophomore
Marty Nelligan was in 36th place in 27:51.55. Senior
Ethan Holcomb was next, in 47th place in 28:43.45, and
Tyler Robinson (67th, 29:51.10),
Samuel Hennedy (72nd, 30:15.71),
Ted Rockwell (122nd, 34:50.44),
Michael Gigliotti (124th, 35:16.69), completed the KSC contingent of runners.
Eastern Connecticut State won the men's team title with 56 points, placing three runners inside the top 10. Brandeis' Matthew Driben was the individual winner in 24:53.28. Keene State was eighth overall out of 20 teams.
Women's Results
Junior
Maggie St. John was 10th overall for KSC, in 19:03.64, just .20 seconds behind UMass Dartmouth's Alexa Van Voorhis.
Grace Furlong was 12th, in 19:18.66, and
Anna O'Reilly was 17th in 19:42.96.

Keene State was second overall with 116 points, trailing only Brandeis, who won the team event with 40 points. Gordon's Rachel Brennan won the event in 18:16.40.
After a week's break, the Owls' will be in action at the Suffolk Invitational on October 15.
