CASTLETON, VT. -- The Keene State College men's lacrosse team picked up their fifth consecutive win over Castleton University at Dave Wolk Stadium Tuesday night. Junior Nathan Sickles netted a career-high six goals to lead the Owls to a comfortable 21-4 victory.

How It Happened
The Spartans got on the scoreboard first, but the Owls answered with 18 straight goals. Freshman Giacomo Tedone and Sickles got the Owls off to a strong start, netting a pair of goals each in the first quarter. Sophomore Colby Quiet set up freshman Rex Maccarini for his first of the game. The Owls led 5-1 after the first 15 minutes of action.
The Owls continued to pull away in the second quarter, netting six unanswered goals. Quiet, Tedone, and Sickles tallied a goal apiece. Junior Cooper Cioffi scored a hat trick to put the Owls up 11-1.
Keene State proceeded with their attack into the second half with Sickles netting a hat trick in the third period alone. Junior Michael Sheridan and freshman Owen Leadley tallied a goal each, their second goals of the season. Maccarini and Jakob Curtiss netted a goal apiece to put the Owls at a dominant 18-1 lead after the third quarter.
The Owls and Spartans went 3-3 in the final quarter. Dylan Davis scored a goal for the Spartans, but the Owls netted three goals in four minutes to extend their lead. Maccarini completed his hat trick and Tim Kelleher scored a goal for Keene State in a man-up situation. Freshman Maxwell Leschen concluded the scoring for the Owls with his first career goal. The Spartans netted two goals in the final minutes of play, but the Owls closed out with a 21-4 win.
