MANSFIELD, CONN. -- Junior Jackie DeAngelis scored a hat trick and tallied three assists to seal the deal for the Keene State College women's lacrosse team in their first win of the season over Eastern Connecticut State University at Rick McCarthy Field on Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened
The Owls struck first as senior Brigid Casey set up Haile Ratajack, followed by Casey's goal assisted by Mindy St. Marie. The Warriors got past senior goalkeeper Haley Terva with just over eight minutes remaining in the period. Keene State DeAngelis set up a pair of goals for Ratajack and Mackenzie Macgowan. ECSU cut Keene State's lead in half with a goal by Caroline Stent with six seconds left. The Owls led 4-2 after the first.
The Owls saw their lead slip away as the Warriors went on a run, scoring four straight goals in the second quarter. Macgowan scored the lone goal for the Owls with 23 seconds remaining to keep the Warriors in sight as they trailed 6-5 heading into the second half.
The teams traded goals in the third period, with unassisted goals by Keene State St. Marie and Ratajack to tie up the game. The Warriors got the final say in the quarter with just under three minutes remaining as they led 9-7.
Keene State rallied in the final quarter, outscoring the Warriors 6-1. Ratajack netted her fourth goal of the game and 19th of the season with an assist by Casey. The Warriors answered, scoring their final goal of the game followed by Casey netting her second. In the remaining five minutes of action, Keene State DeAngelis scored a hat trick to put the Owls back on top. St. Marie topped it off with her second goal of the game for the Owls to finish 13-10.
