Andriski Shines in Goal as Women’s Soccer Forces Draw Against Bridgewater State

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – The Keene State College women's soccer team opened its 2022 season by forcing a 0-0 draw against Bridgewater State Thursday at Swenson Field.

In her collegiate debut, freshman goalkeeper Riley Andriski stood tall in goal by making 14 saves for the Owls. 10 of them came in the second half alone. The Bears of Bridgewater State kept up the pressure by outshooting the Owls 20-7. However, Andriski and the Keene State defense were able to keep the ball out of the net.

On offense, KSC recorded four shots on goal. Three of them came from junior defender Alexa Skinner. Junior forward/midfielder Kendall Healey provided the fourth shot on goal with 15 minutes remaining. All of those shots were stopped by BSU senior goalkeeper Tory Viola-Laughery. Junior forward Maya Baker also recorded a shot with 74:03 remaining, but it was blocked.

Keene State's all-time record against Bridgewater State now sits at 20-2-2. The only other time the two teams tied was on Oct. 27, 2004 when the game finished in a 2-2 draw.

Up next, Keene State travels to Springfield, Mass., to take on Western New England University on Saturday at noon.
