Declan Coughlin scored the first goal of the 2022 season for the Keene State College men's soccer team as the Owls tied Western New England University 1-1 Saturday at the Turf Field Complex at Wilbraham and Monson Academy.

How it Happened
Both teams battled for most of the first half. It wasn't until with 19 seconds remaining that sophomore midfielder Mike Milazzo scored his first goal of the season to put the Golden Bears up 1-0 heading into halftime.
At the 76:53 mark, the Owls finally broke through when junior midfielder
Haris Suljevic set up Coughlin for the game-tying goal. Senior forward
Mbambi Mbungu recorded another shot on goal for the Owls at the 86:45 mark, but it was saved by sophomore goalkeeper Jacob Wadas.
Inside the Box
- This is the first time in 16 meetings that both teams tied each other.
- Suljevic's assist was also the first of his collegiate career.
- KSC freshman goalkeeper Eldin Husanovic made eight saves in his collegiate debut.
