NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass.--The Keene State College women's cross country team staked their claim towards the Little East Conference championship at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday. The Owls had two of the top three LEC finishers in the race.
Men's Results
Senior Jake Pearl was the first LEC men's runner, and 29th overall in a field of 282 runners, in 25:43.09.
Ethan Holcomb was next, in 28:49.20, followed by
Tyler Robinson (30:10.74),
Marty Nelligan (30:34.53),
Ted Rockwell (35:37.36), Sam Hennedy (36:16.70), and
Michael Gigliotti (37:41.68).
Keene State was 29th overall out of 35 teams; Division I UMass Lowell won the team title with 65 points, while Connecticut College was the top finishing Division III team, second overall with 115 points. Wondu Summa of Franklin Pierce was the individual medalist in 23:55.23.

Grace Furlong was the top finishing KSC runner, in 51st place in 19:12.97, and the first LEC competitor over the finish line in a field of 285 runners.
Maggie St. John was next in 59th place, in 19:19.79, the third LEC runner to finish.

Kailyn Fleury (21:39.71), and
Sara Christian (21:45.86) completed the set of Owl runners.
Keene State finished 15th overall, the highest finishing LEC school and 10th amongst Division III schools in a 38 team field. Division I UMass Lowell was the team winner with 54 points, and WPI was the top finishing Division III school, fourth overall with 139 points. Mount Holyoke's Laura Selkin was the individual winner in 17:49.26.
