WESTFIELD, Mass.--Freshman
Caden Capaldo shot a 79 to lead the Keene State College men's golf team to a fifth place finish at the Brett Williamson Invitational at Tekoa Country Club on Wednesday afternoon.
Capaldo shot +8 on the par 71 course, finishing in a tie for 13th place. Teammates
Cade Williams and
Sean McCaffrey both shot 83 to finish in a tie for 23rd, while
Colin O'Brien shot an 88 for 33rd place, and
Ethan Doherty was in 35th place with a 90.
Keene State shot 333 as a team for +49, 13 strokes behind fourth placed Albertus Magnus College. Eastern Connecticut State won the team event with a 303 team score, led by individual medalist Ashton Lewis, who was the only golfer to break par with a 69.
