How it Happened
Both teams battled to a scoreless tie at halftime. The first goal was not scored until 56:23, when junior midfielder
Elizabeth Kopicko took a shot from outside of the box that made its way into the back of the net for her sixth goal of the season. It took less than a minute for the Owls to extend their lead.
At 57:20, freshman midfielder
Riley Devine led a fast break into the box. After her shot was stopped by graduate goalkeeper Elena Register, freshman midfielder
Christina Sanders scored off the rebound for her first collegiate goal to make it 2-0 Keene State.
Plymouth State responded with a goal at 68:45 by graduate forward Kaliana Pahlof to make it a 2-1 game. The Panthers continued to put pressure on the Owls, but Keene State did not give up another goal for the rest of the night. That is when Tyler took over.
Tyler's first goal came at 85:58. After receiving a long pass by junior defender
Rachel Souza, Tyler took the ball towards the net before striking it for her second goal of the season. The forward then added an insurance goal at 88:52 to preserve the Owls' first Little East Conference victory of the season.
