WESTON, Mass. – Sophomore defender
Kate Burzlaff scored the first goal not only of the 2022 season for the Keene State College women's soccer team, but also of her collegiate career as the Owls beat Regis College 1-0 Wednesday at Regis Stadium.

How it Happened
The Owls first goal of the season came as both teams scrambled with under a minute to play in the first half. At the 44:42 mark, junior defender
Alexa Skinner set up Burzlaff for a shot with a corner kick. Burzlaff then headed the ball past Regis freshman goalkeeper Daniela Mazo for the goal.
KSC continued its offensive attack throughout the rest of the night. Senior midfield
Kayleigh Marshall and freshman forward
Joclynn Tyler each recorded a shot on goal for the Owls, but both attempts were stopped by Regis junior goalkeeper Cristina Nazario, who entered the game at the start of the second half. Meanwhile, Keene State freshman goalkeeper
Moira Clancy made two saves to earn the shutout in her collegiate debut.
