BEVERLY, Mass. – The Keene State College men's lacrosse team opened its 2023 season with a 14-8 loss to Endicott College Saturday at Hempstead Stadium.

How it Happened
Keene State went up 1-0 at 10:06 in the first quarter when senior midfielder
Nathan Sickles scored with the Owls up a man. Senior attacker
Cooper Cioffi was credited with the assist. Endicott would then pick up goals from senior attacker Domenic Russo at 7:02 and senior midfielder Max Kesicki at 2:15, as Keene State would trail 2-1 at the end of the quarter.
Scoring would pick up for both teams in the second quarter. Up a man again, senior attacker
Ben Wright tied the game for the Owls at 12:23, with an assist from Sickles. Cioffi, meanwhile, scored two goals at 9:15 and 5:34. Junior attacker

Colby Quiet each added a goal at 4:48 and 3:21 respectively, as the Owls entered halftime tied with Endicott at six.
Endicott then went on a scoring run in the second half, getting six unanswered goals throughout the third and fourth quarters. Keene State would end the run with two goals by sophomore attacker
Connor Woods at 11:17 and 4:59 in the fourth. It was not enough for the Owls, as sophomore attacker Cam Fernandez scored his fourth goal for the Gulls at 4:12. Endicott would get one more goal from senior midfielder Jaden Elsinger at 2:27 to secure the victory.

- This was the first meeting between these two programs since May 7, 2014, a 13-10 loss for Keene State.
- Junior goalkeeper Charlie Giuliotti finished the game with 15 saves for the Owls, tying a career high for him.
- Quiet and junior attacker Jakob Curtiss led the Owls with five shots on goal each.
- Freshman defender Dylan Fadale and senior midfielder Michael Sheridan each caused a turnover for KSC.
