How It Happened

The Owls took control early and held it throughout this LEC matchup. Junior midfielder
Colby Quiet began the scoring 41 seconds into the game with an unassisted goal. Sophomore attacker
Rex Maccarini, the reigning LEC Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, picked up right where he left off with his 16th goal of the season to make it 2-0 Owls at 2:44 in the first quarter. Miller would score his first goal of the day at 1:05, extending Keene State's lead to 3-0 at the end of the frame.
The scoring would not stop for the Owls in the second. KSC scored the next five goals, two from sophomore attacker
Connor Woods. The other goals came from senior attacker
Cooper Cioffi got the first goal at 13:22, followed by goals from sophomore midfielder
Giacomo Tedone, senior midfielder
Nathan Sickles and Maccarini.
Sickles' tally was a highlight reel goal. With the ball on the low side of the field in Keene State's offensive zone, Miller stepped towards the net. As a defender came towards him, Miller sent a pass to Sickles, who was in front of the net. The Ashland, Mass., native then threw the ball back between his legs into the net.
Castleton's only goal came with 29 seconds remaining from freshman attacker Ian Edgar. Miller scored his other two goals 37 seconds apart to continue the scoring for the Owls early in the third quarter. More players would contribute for Keene State, as the team scored six goals for the second straight quarter. Senior midfielder
Max Thurston, sophomore midfielder
Brendan DiSilva and freshman midfielder
Sebastian Foresi each scored their first goal of the game during the quarter. Tedone added his second goal of the game. Castleton would score three goals in the quarter, making it 15-4 Owls.
Freshman attacker
Jack Ansart helped the Owls finish strong by scoring two goals in the fourth quarter. Quiet and DiSilva each added one to put the game out of reach, improving Keene State's LEC record to 4-0 this season.
