Lola Smith scored a career-high four goals, while senior midfielder
Haile Ratajack added another four, as the Keene State College women's lacrosse team defeated UMass-Dartmouth 16-9 Wednesday at Cressy Field.

How it Happened
Freshman midfielder Maddie Smith, who leads the LEC in goals, scored the first two of the game to give the Corsairs a 2-0 lead at 12:52 in the first quarter. The Owls would not give up, as the team scored three straight goals from freshman midfielder
Tess Brown, Ratajack, and senior midfielder
Mindy St. Marie. UMass-Dartmouth then responded with two straight goals to go ahead 4-3 at 8:45 in the first.
That's when Keene State found its form, as the team scored 11 of the next 12 goals between then and the start of the fourth quarter. Sophomore attacker
Chase Gengras and Ratajack scored the final two goals of the first for the Owls. In the second, Brown, Smith and junior attacker
Hannah Dworkin scored the first three goals of the frame to extend Keene State's lead to 8-4. After Smith scored her third goal of the game for the Corsairs, St. Marie picked up her second tally of the contest to give Keene State a 9-5 lead at halftime.
The Owls would go on to shut out the Corsairs 5-0 in the third quarter, with Ratajack and Smith scoring two goals each. Gengras scored the other goal, while Dworkin assisted on three of the Owls' tallies in the frame. Smith and sophomore attacker

- Keene State has an all-time record of 22-5 against UMass-Dartmouth, with the Owls having won the last 21 games dating back to 2004.
- Brown led all players with five caused turnovers.
- St. Marie collected a game-high seven ground balls.
- Freshman goalkeeper Kara Moriarty made three saves in the win, improving her record to 6-4.

Keene State wraps up its regular season with a home game against Rhode Island College on Saturday, April 29 at 11 a.m., at the Owl Athletic Complex. If the Owls win, they will secure the No. 4 seed in the LEC tournament. UMass-Dartmouth will play its final game of the regular season at Castleton University on Saturday at noon.
Saturday's game for the Owls will also be Senior Day. Before the game, the team will recognize outgoing seniors
