Lee, Turgeon Lead KSC Past Gordon

WENHAM, Mass. – The Keene State men's and women's swimming and diving team traveled to take on the Gordon College Fighting Scots on Saturday afternoon for their first road contest of their 2024-2025 season. On the women's side, led by three first-place finished by Rory Lee and London Armitage, the Owls took down Gordon, 167-94, while on the men's side, led by four first-place finishes from Aaron Turgeon, the Owls beat Gordon, 158-81.
 
Lee picked up wins in the 200 yard freestyle (2:08.82), 500 free (5:49.59), and by leading off in the 400 free relay (59.44) in her three first-place finishes. Tallulah Going anchored the 400 free relay for the Owls, with a time of 58.23, the fastest leg by anybody in the event. Going also added another first place finish, swimming the 50 free in 26.74, to go with her second place finish in the 100 free (58.78). Hannah Reddick and Sammi Taylor rounded out the rest of the Owls' first-place 400 free relay team with a time of 4:01.21. Taylor finished second in her two other events, coming in the 1000 free (12:26.32) and 50 fly (30.04).
 
Armitage's three first-place finishes in the meet came from the 50 backstroke (32.11), 100 backstroke (1:08.25) and by leading off the Owls 400 medley relay with a split of 1:09.45, to go with her second-place finish in the 50 free (28.33). Amanda Davies swam the second leg of the Owls' 400 medley relay, and picked two second-place finishes, as she swam the 50 breaststroke in 35:64 and 100 breaststroke in 1:17.29. While Lexi Quinn anchored the first-place medley relay, Adessa Noyes was third in the relay, and also won one individual event with a time of 1:07.86 in the 100 fly, 2.96 ahead of her teammate, Rebecca Radonovich.
 
 
Turgeon finished with four-placed finishes in the meet, with his three individual wins coming in the 50 free (23.13), 100 free (52.23), and the 500 free (5:22.93), to go anchoring the Owls' first-place in the 400 free relay, with a relay-best time of 50.92 split on the day. Alec Agosto was the third swimmer in the 400 free relay for KSC, and also picked up a first-place finish in the 1000 free (11:23.85), a second-place finish in the 500 free (5:31.51), and anchored the Owls win in the 400 medley relay with a time of 54.73. Zachary Perry joined Agosto in both first-place relay finishes for KSC, and finished first in the 50 fly (26.10) and second in the 100 fly, with a time of 1:02.54. Perry's second place finish in the 100 fly was .74 behind his teammate, Leo Lauridsen, who finished with a time of 1:01.80. Lauridsen also finished second in the 200 free (2:01.76) and in the 200 IM (2:20.65).
 
Evan Keefe had led the Owls' 400 medley relay and picked up two more top-two finishes, with a first-place finish in the 100 backstroke (1:05.60) and a second-place finish in the 50 backstroke with a time of 29.16, just .16 behind the leader. Zach Finman was the last remaining swimmer for the Owls on both of their 400 medley relay and 400 free relay events that they won. Finman also came in second in the 100 breaststroke (1:08.27) and second in the 50 breaststroke (31.27) behind teammate Zack Menz (30.51).
 
 
The Owls' next meet will take place at Bentley University on Saturday, November 24, at 11:00 AM.
