The Owls' starting goalkeeper, Regan Racicot made two saves in net the rest of the half, as the Lancers held on to their 1-0 lead heading into halftime.

Eldin Husanovic entered the second half in net for the Owls and immediately made three saves in net over the first nine minutes of the half, to limit the Lancers' lead to one. After Schneider made another save in the 60th minute, 1:25 later, Verby added another point in the game, he assisted Brady Iovanni on the Lancers second goal of the game. In the 69th minute, Husanovic made another save for the Owls, but he was unable to save the final two shots on goal from the Lancers on the day, as in the 79th minute, Arthur Tome scored the third goal for the Lancers, and he tacked on another in the 89th minute to give WSU a 4-0 win on the day over the Owls.
