Box Score 2 PROVIDENCE, R.I.—The Keene State College softball team managed just six hits in dropping both ends of a doubleheader to league leading Rhode Island College, 6-1 and 10-0 at Dayna Bazar Field on Saturday.

How it Happened
The Anchorwomen scored all the runs they would need with two in the bottom of the first inning, thanks to an RBI double by Katelyn Ashe and a Keene State error. RIC added two more in the second with an RBI triple from Katz and a double from Noelle Simmons, and another two runs in the fifth as Ashe drove in another, as did Sophia Crudale.
Keene State broke up the shutout in the top of the seventh when Kalle Halvorsen singled, moved to second on a passed ball, and scored on Morgan Rodrigues' RBI groundout.
Carissa Miller (1-4) went the first six innings in the circle, while Megan Strzegowski threw two innings of relief.
The Anchormen outhit the Owls 13-2 in the nightcap, opening the scoring in the second inning with an infield hit by Crudale. Crudale drove in two more as part of a four run third, and the Anchorwomen put the game to bed in the fifth with five runs, including back-to-back homers from Ashe and Melanie Early.
Keene State got a first inning single from Elyse Picard and fourth inning single from Halvorsen, and did not get a runner past first base during the game.
Lilah Demmy (2-13) took the loss, going the first 3.1 innings, while Strzegowski came on again in relief for the final 2/3 of an inning.

- UPDATE: Keene State has been eliminated from postseason contention. The Owls sit three games back of sixth place WestConn, but cannot catch the Wolves in the loss column.

- Keene State was on the road for the final time this season. The Owls end the regular season with three straight home doubleheaders, starting with a visit from UMass Dartmouth on April 30.
