Men's Swimming and Diving

Owls Downed by Purple Knights as Swimming and Diving Starts to Open Season

KEENE, N.H. – The Keene State College men's and women's swimming and diving team traveled to Saint Michael's College on Saturday afternoon for their first road contest of the 2025-2026 season for the fifth consecutive year with a matchup with the Purple Knights.
 
 
Women's Highlights
  • London Armitage took home first place in the 100 back with a time of 1:07.10 to go with her second-place finish in the 200 back with a time of 2:25.96 and her part in the Owls' second place finish in the 200 free relay.
  • Tallulah Going finished in second in two events, the 50 and 100 free with times of 26.30 and 58.58, respectively, to go with her third-place finish in the 200 free in 2:11.20 and anchoring the Owls' second place finish in the 200 free relay.
  • Olivia Boulris also finished with a pair of second-place finishes and a third-place finish. Boulris swam 2:33.83 in the 200 fly and 2:30.19 in the 200 IM for her second finishes, while she came in third in the 100 fly in 1:09.54.
  • Kyleigh Dyer and Rory Lee were the other two Owls to help the relay team place second in the 200 free relay, while Lee also placed third in two other events, coming in the mile in 19:41.86, and in the 500 free in 5:52.65.
 
Men's Highlights
  • Cooper Niles took home first in both the 1m and 3m diving events as he scored a 180.35 in the 1m and a 177.75 in the 3m to go with his third-place finish in the 50 free with a time of 25.02.
  • Caiden Cox debuted for the Owls and finished third in the 100 breast with a time of 1:05.92, while leading the Owls off in their second-place finish in the 200 free relay with a starting leg time of 24.51.
  • Carter Beauchesne also debuted for the Owls and anchored the Owls' 200 free relay group that placed second with the fastest time out of the group with a leg of 23.62. Beauchesne also placed third in the 200 fly with a time of 2:17.16.
  • Alec Agosto and Zack Menz rounded out the Owls' 200 free relay group with times of 25.23 and 23.74, respectively.
 
"St. Michael's was tough competition, but I was happy to get a couple of event wins from Armitage and Niles," said Owls' head coach Chris Woolridge. "The team as a whole, swam well. We had 13 lifetime best performances and some big improvements from our first-year swimmers. We've got a lot of work to do, but this meet showed us we are headed in the right direction!"
 
The Owls were defeated on the day by the Purple Knights 212-72 on the women's side and 225-66 on the men's side.
 
Keene State returns to action next weekend back at home against Gordon College on Saturday, October 25, at 1:00 PM for their next contest
