PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Little East Conference recently announced the postseason awards for the conference and
Gigi Stake was selected to the Second Team All-LEC from her performance her senior season, while
Delia Ryan was announced to the sportsmanship team.
Gigi Stake, a senior outside hitter from Bedford, New Hampshire, was one of six Owls to play in all 28 matches on the year, and only one of three Owls to play in each of the 106 sets this season. Stake led the Owls in kills and kills/set, with 242 kills, averaging 2.28 kills/set. Her 242 kills were the eighth-most in the LEC, while her 2.28 kills/set is the tenth-best in the conference for the 2025 season. Stake also finished with 21 assists and 19 aces on the attack for KSC. On the defensive side, Stake finished with the second-most digs on the team with 294 for an average of 2.77 digs/set, to go with 20 blocks. Stake's best game of the season came in the Owls win over WPI (9/13) as she recorded a season-high in both kills, with 14, and a team-high of 29 aces (and the second-most in a five-set match across all LEC teams) in the victory.
Delia Ryan, a sophomore libero from Rockville Centre, New York, was named to the LEC Sportsmanship Team to represent the Owls. Ryan played in 27 contests on the season, only missing one contest, while having the third-most sets (82) and aces (32) on the season for the Owls. Ryan also led the Owls this season with 348 digs and 3.52 digs per set, both top-ten in the LEC on the season. "Delia is one of the most positive hard-working people on this team, she has a great respect for her teammates, opponent, officials and just the game overall," said Owls' head coach
Jacob Girard. "Win or lose, I know Delia has giving it her all, she doesn't make excuses or complain.
