KEENE, N.H. –
Peter Unger notched his team-leading third game-winning goal by whacking home a rebound of a
Marcus Chrisafideis wraparound attempt with 5:53 left in regulation as the Keene State College men's ice hockey team posted their fourth straight victory to close their home schedule, beating Worcester State University 6-4 on Saturday evening at Keene Ice after trailing by a goal four different times.

The win helps the Owls (11-10-1) finish their home schedule at 7-3-0, winning their final four and six of their last seven in the Elm City after a 1-2-0 start. KSC featured a balanced attack, as has become common during this stretch in which they have scored 23 goals in their last four games.
Luke Festa led the way with a pair of goals, including a critical shorthanded goal off a clever flick-pass from
Michael Boschetto with just under 10 minutes to go as the Owls not only killed off the waning seconds of the Lancers' (10-10-2) fourth unsuccessful power play, but tied the game at four.
Thor Hansen,
Payton Jones, and
Corey Tumenas (empty net) also scored for KSC, who had the better of the offensive chances overall on an evening where it was their special teams that cashed in with a pair of power play goals and a shorthanded goal.
Unger's go-ahead and eventual game-winning tally came as a result of an impressive individual effort from Chrisafideis, who swiped the puck from Shane Prifrel in the neutral zone and was in on goal with just one defender to beat. Worcester goalie Donovan Alfama stopped an initial shot from Chrisafideis, but the Owl forward corralled the puck and went around the net, where Unger was there to pot the go-ahead goal with under six minutes to go. KSC limited the Lancers' chances from there, with Owls goalie and one of three seniors honored on Senior Night,
Will Slohm, only needing to make three stops while it remained a one-goal game. Alfama made two saves with a little more than two minutes to go to keep his team in it, but Tumenas lofted a puck from the Owls' defensive zone that found its way into an empty goal with 1:09 left to put KSC up two and end their home schedule on a high note.
The Owls close their season with a pair of games at fellow first-year program Misericordia University on February 21 and 22 at 5:00 and 3:30 p.m., respectively.
