KSC Seniors, Coach Enright Take Home All-LEC Awards for 2024-2025 Season

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Keene State College men's basketball once again dominated the Little East Conference's postseason awards program as announced today by the conference office as all four seniors for KSC and head coach Steve Enright were honored by the conference.
 
For the third consecutive year an Owl earned the LEC Player of the Year as Octavio Brito earned the award for the 2024-2025 season, joining his teammate Jeff Hunter who won the award the two prior seasons. Along with his Player of the Year Award, Brito was named to the First Team All-LEC as he averaged 22.2 points per game, the 22nd most in all of NCAA Division III for the season from his 599 points on the year (12th most in NCAA DIII this season and currently the 10th most in a single season in program history). His 211 field goals made rank 20th in the country, of which he made 62 threes as he shot 52.5% from the field, 38.3% from three, and 82.1% from the line this year. Brito upped his career-best 7.9 rebounds per game in the 2023-2024 season to 8.8 rebounds per game this season as he grabbed 238 boards, ranking tied for the 45th most in the country. Along with upping his rebounds per game, Brito also increased his best season of 3.1 assists per game to 3.3 assists per game (as his 90 assists are the fifth-most in the LEC on the season), while his 1.8 assist to turnover ratio is tied for the third-best mark in the LEC this year. Brito was also named to the LEC All-Defensive Team for the third consecutive season as he recorded a career-high 40 blocks (tied for the 13th most in a season in program history and second most in the LEC this season), to go with 48 steals (sixth most this season in the LEC) for KSC. Brito currently sits at 2,166 career points as he became the third member in program history to reach the 2,000 point mark and is now in second place for career points for the Owls.
 
Mason Jean-Baptiste also took home All-LEC honors in his fifth-year season for the Owls as he earned a Second Team All-LEC selection along with being named to the LEC All-Defensive Team. Jean-Baptiste averaged 10.8 points per game as he shot 39.5% from the field, 33.3% from three and 85.4% from the line for the Owls. Jean-Baptiste also averaged 2.7 rebounds per game and 1.6 assists per game to go with his 25 steals on the season. His 56 threes made on the season are the sixth most in the LEC for 2024-2025. Jean-Baptiste's best game of the year came in the Owls' season-opener at Western New England University where he went 4-for-9 from deep and a perfect 4-for-4 at the line for 18 points to go with five rebounds and a pair of each assists and steals for KSC.
 
Nate Siow was also named to the Second Team All-LEC, as he earned the nod for the second straight season Siow's best game of the season came against the University of Southern Maine (1/25/25) as he tallied a season-high 20 points to go with his five of each assists and rebounds, along with a pair of steals. When Siow tallied his 20th point of the game, he became the 42nd member of the KSC's 1,000 point club in the Owls' victory. Siow has excelled with passing over his career as an Owl as his 85 assists are tied for the sixth most in the LEC. Siow's mark of 2.6 assist to turnover ratio is the best mark in the LEC by 0.6 and is the 20th best ratio in all of NCAA Division III on the 2024-2025 season. Siow currently ranks fourth in program history with 492 assists, just five away from tying Kevin Savage for the third most in program history. Siow 
 
Spencer Aronson rounds out the All-LEC selections for the players as he was selected to the Second Team All-LEC in his third season for the Owls. While missing a couple games on the season due to an injury, Aronson has maintained the fifth-best three point percentage as he has shot 39.7% (50-for-126) and his 2.3 threes made per game are tied for the third-most per game in the LEC. Aronson has averaged 9.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.6 assists on the season. Aronson's best game of the season came against Western Connecticut State University (1/16/25) as in just 22 minutes he scored a season-high of 19 points on 7-for-12 (58.3%) from the field, including 5-for-10 (50%) from three to go with five assists and three steals. 
 
The final of the major LEC awards for the 2024-2025 season taken home by the Owls is the LEC Coach of the Year as KSC's head coach, Steve Enright, earned the selection in his first year leading the program. Enright becomes the third consecutive coach to earn the award for Keene State (Ryan Cain 2022-2023 and David Hastings 2023-2024) and the sixth time overall that an Owl head coach has earned the award for men's basketball (Rob Colbert 2001-2002, 2003-2004, Ryan Cain 2018-2019, 2022-2023, and David Hastings 2023-2024). Enright led KSC to a 22-5 record as the Owls won their fourth-straight LEC Tournament Championship to punch their ticket to the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournament.
 
"We always say that individual awards are team awards" Enright said regarding his coach of the year selection. "I am proud of our players and their accomplishments their accomplishments this season. To have all four members of a senior class earn All-LEC recognition speaks to the legacy they will leave with our program. They are a special group and we can't wait to see where they lead us in the NCAA tournament."
 
KSC looks to make another run in the NCAA Tournament as the Owls travel to take on Clark (Mass.) University on Friday, March 7, at 4:40 PM at Trinity (CT) for the first round of the tournament.
