BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – In their second to last meet before the Little East Conference championships, the Keene State College swimming and diving teams traveled to Bridgewater State University on Saturday afternoon in a double-dual meet against Bridgewater State and Brandeis University.
KSC split the day on the women's side, defeating BSU, 157-128, and narrowly being defeated by Brandeis, 143-134. On the men's side, KSC fell to BSU, 192-77, and to BU, 169-76.
Women's Highlights
- Rory Lee led off the individual events for the Owls with a win in the 1,000 free in 11:32.16 and tacked on another first-place finish later in the 500 free in 5:42.12. Lee also went second in the Owls' win in the 200 free relay with the second-best split of the event of 26.91, only behind her teammate Tallulah Going as the group of Kyleigh Dyer, Lee, Hannah Reddick, and Going won the event in 1:48.55, five seconds ahead of second.
- Along with her event-best time of 26.10 in the Owls' first-place finish in the 200 free relay, Going won two individual events, winning the 50 free in 26.09, and 100 free in 27.53, three seconds ahead of second place.
- Reddick placed second in a pair of events to go with her participation in the Owls' relay victory, placing second in the 500 free in 5:50.94 and second in the 200 free in 2:10.52.
- Rebecca Radonovich took home second in the 100 fly, swimming the event in 1:07.98, .51 behind first place in the event.
Men's Highlights
- Agosto placed second in the 1,000 free to lead off the individual events on the men's side on the day, swimming the event in 11:20.36. He added another second-place finish in the 500 free later in the day with a time of 5:22.24.
- Zack Menz and Caiden Cox went first and second in the 50 breast, swimming 30.00 and 30.42, respectively.
Keene State returns to action in a week in their final meet before the LEC championships as the Owls take on Plymouth State University and Rhode Island College at PSU on Saturday, January 24, at 12:00 PM at PSU in a double-dual meet.
