Molly Lu McKellar took home the honor from her performance over the past week.

Molly Lu McKellar (Hebron, N.H.) was named the LEC Field Athlete of the Week from her impressive performance at the Bates College Invitational and Multi at Merrill Gymnasium on Friday night as she scored 3,207 points to take home first place in the pentathlon event. McKellar placed first in three of the five events, including the 60-meter hurdles (9.25), high jump (1.55 meters), and shot put (9.80 meters). In the other two events, she placed second in both the long jump (5.10 meters) and 800 meters (2:40.46). Her mark of 3,207 points bested her previous personal best mark of 3,194 at the New England Division III indoor championships last year when she placed sixth and was the fifth best in the country after the conclusion of the meet on Friday.
McKellar and the Owls next return to action at the John Thomas Terrier Classic on Friday, January 30.
