Baseball
Senior pitcher
David Floyd (North Attleboro, Mass.) was named the LEC Pitcher of the Week for the second consecutive week from yet another dominant performance for the Owls in their doubleheader sweep against Eastern Connecticut State University. Floyd helped lead KSC to the first sweep of the Warriors since 2006 from his 7.0 innings on the mound in game one, where he struck out five batters and only allowed four hits enroute to the 9-2 victory to earn the win and move to 3-0 on the season. With his five strikeouts in the contest, Floyd moves to 142 career strikeouts, tying Matt Lavatori (1999-2001) for the seventh most in program history.
Senior catcher
Evan Cali (Taunton, Mass.) had a great week for the Owls, earning him the LEC Player of the Week from the Owls' 3-1 week of action. Over KSC's 3-1 week, Cali went 8-18 (.444) at the plate with a pair of doubles and two walks as he scored four runs himself and drove in six runs. To go with his five stolen bases on the week, including three stolen bases against the University of Hartford, Cali also threw two runners out on the basepaths, including recording his 50th career runner caught stealing behind the plate in the second game of the Owls' doubleheader sweep over ECSU. In the same game, with his first of two hits, Cali recorded his 150th career hit, becoming the 19th member in program history to reach the milestone and joining his teammate
Jonathan Chatfield to reach the mark this season.
Floyd, Cali, and the Owls return to action back at home against Vermont State Castleton University on Tuesday, April 21, at 3:00 PM.

Over the week, Nicotera made 20 saves in net for KSC, including 17 saves in the Owls' contest at ECSU, which was the third-most saves in a game on the season by a goalie in the LEC. Over her three quarters in goal against PSU, Nicotera also recorded six saves to help anchor the Owls to their 12-10 win on Senior Day.
