KEENE, N.H. – The Keene State College athletic department has recently announced the hiring of Mackenzie Hopkins as the Senior Administrative Assistant for Athletics and Campus Recreation starting today.
Hopkins, a 2025 graduate of Colby-Sawyer College with a degree in exercise science and minor in sport management, has been working with KSC athletics since July 1, 2025, on a one-year grant from the BOLD Women's Leadership Network as the Athletics Community Outreach Coordinator.
"I'm grateful for the opportunity to be able to continue working at Keene State with student-athletes," said Hopkins. In her previous role as Community Outreach Coordinator, Hopkins organized community service events for the athletic department, such as Green Up Keene, the Owls helping at the DeMar Marathon, K-1 youth basketball in partnership with the Keene Park and Recreation Department, Special Olympics of New Hampshire Bowling, the Western NH Walk to End Alzheimers, the Keene Pumpkin Festival, and the Salvation Army Toy Drive. In her role as serving as one of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) advisors, Hopkins created a tracker to record student-athlete volunteer hours, which saw the department total over 2,200 hours from student-athletes so far this year.
"I was very excited to offer this position to Mackenzie," said Marty Testo, Keene State Director of Athletics. "Her passion to work in athletics was obvious from the beginning. She brings a tremendous skill set to our department."
