Elizabeth Tschudin netted the first goal of the season for the Keene State College women's soccer team just over three minutes into the contest against Gordon College, but after the Fighting Scots' tying goal in the 24th minute and a late goal in the second half, the Owls lead slipped away and KSC fell to Gordon, 2-1.

How it Happened
Gordon nearly struck first in the contest as a corner kick in the first minute led to the Fighting Scots having a shot on goal right after, but
Allison Gough made the save to keep the contest scoreless early on. On the other side of the field shortly after
Kaylee Cormier sent a pass out ahead to
Kylie Rapoza, who flew past Gordon's defense and sent a cross into Gordon's box to
Elizabeth Tschudin. Tschudin then fired home a shot into the back of the net to give the Owls the 1-0 lead 3:22 into the contest.
Mikayla Ryan looked to add another goal for the Owls over the next 13 minutes with three shots, but the first two missed the target and the third hit off the post and stayed out of the goal. In the 24th minute the Fighting Scots answered right back as Liana Hanley drew even just over halfway through the opening half. The rest of the opening half the Owls looked to tack on their second goal of the game but Ava Cote denied the next two shots from the Owls on target, while Tschudin recorded two more shots, but they missed the goal. Gough bounced back by saving the last shot that she saw in the opening half as the game went into halftime at 1-1.
Neither team had a scoring chance until 10 minutes into the second half as Gordon looked to try to take their first lead of the day, but after entering as the Owls' goaltender at halftime, Michaela DiCiccio saved Hanley's shot to prevent her from scoring her second goal of the game. Over the next 20 minutes the Owls recorded four shots trying to retake the lead but Gordon's new goaltender for the second half, Madison Amati, saved both shots of the four that were on target for the Owls. On the other side of the field, DiCiccio made a save in goal in the 76th minute, but less than a minute later after the Owls turned the ball over to the Fighting Scots, Jade LaBossier fired a long arching shot from well outside the box that went over DiCiccio's hands and into the back of the net to put Gordon up a goal with 13:19 remaining. The rest of the way the Owls were unable to find the back of the net, with their two corner kicks resulting in just one shot, that missed the target from Tschudin on an opportunity in front of the goal. DiCiccio recorded a pair of saves in net the rest of the way to limit the Fighting Scots' lead to just one as the final score held at 2-1 in Gordon's favor.

- KSC moves to 0-1-0 in the all-time series in the first matchup between the two programs.
- Tschudin and Hanley both led the way with two shots on goal apiece, while Tschudin finished with a game-high five shots in the contest.
- DiCiccio made four saves in goal over her 45 minutes in net for the Owls, while Gough made a pair of saves in her 45 minutes in goal. Both Amati and Cole each made two saves apiece in their 45 minutes each in goal for Gordon.
- KSC had the edge on total shots, 14-11, but Gordon was more efficient, outshooting KSC 8-5 on shots on goal.
- The Owls had the edge on corner kicks, 5-3.
