Keene State College

David Hastings is in his fifth season with the Keene State College men's basketball program in 2020-2021.  He was promoted to associate head coach prior to the 2019-2020 season after two seasons as an assistant.  A longtime high school coach in Western Massachusetts, Hastings brings 15 years of experience at Pioneer Valley Regional High School.

After four seasons as an assistant coach at Pioneer Valley, Hastings took over the program for the 2001-02 season. Since then, he led the Panthers to the Western Mass. semifinals, and 11 appearances in the Western Mass. tournament.  Hastings also served as the Director of The Edge, an AAU program in Western Massachusetts.

Hastings recently retired as Chief of Police for the city of Gill, Mass.
