On July 28, 2020, the Little East Conference Presidents Council voted to cancel all LEC regular season competition and championships until January 1, 2021 - including the entire Fall 2020 semester - due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns.

On December 17, 2020, the Little East Conference released a revised conference schedule beginning January 23, 2021 (updated February 22, 2021).

On February 3, 2021, NCAA Division III cancelled all winter championships due to low participation numbers.
- Castleton cancelled the remainder of their season on February 4.
- The previously postponed game at Plymouth State was cancelled on February 22.

(Note:  UMass-Boston, Southern Maine, and Western Connecticut opted out of participating in the season.)
