Beginning her eighth season asassistant coach, Stephanie Keating brings a wealth of soccerexperience to the Keene State women's soccer program. She played atseveral colleges, including the University of Tampa (1999-00),the University of Florida (2000-01), and Louisiana StateUniversity (2001-03). After securing a spot on the WesternMassachusetts Lady Pioneers semi-pro team, Keating decided tomake New England her permanent home.
A native of Vero Beach, Fla., Keating spent two years at thehelm of the Vermont Academy girls' varsity soccer squad. While shewas at LSU, she also coached the girls' team at University HighSchool (2001-02) in Baton Rouge while earning All-SoutheasternConference all-star honors and first-team All-Louisianaaccolades as a midfielder/forward.
Keating was inducted into the Saint Edward’shigh school inaugural hall of fame where she played varsitysoccer, golf, softball, and lacrosse. She was the leadingsoccer scorer for six straight years on the varsity soccer team,scoring 173 goals. Keating was a five-time recipient of theschool most valuable player award, a three-time first-teamAll-State player, and was recognized by the Press Journal as wellas Channel 12 in addition to being named one of the Top 100Athletes of the Century in Vero Beach.
At Keene State, Keating's main task with the team is workingwith the young Owl goalies.
