BRIDGEWATER, MA. 10/2/01 - Jennifer Ortisi (Allenstown, NH)
scored two goals within a three minute span midway in the second
half to lead the Keene State College women's soccer team to a 3-1
non-conference win over host Bridgewater State College on Tuesday.
The Owls improve to 9-3 on the season. Bridgewater State goes to
3-7.
After the Bears went ahead 1-0 on a goal by Emily Jellerson, the
Owls tied the game on a cormer kick goal by Jessica Williams later
in the half.
The game reMEd tied until the 66:53 mark of the second half when
Ortisi finished off a crossing pass from Carolyn Crawford
(Abington, MA.). The same combination hooked up three minutes later
for the game -winner. Orisi, a sophomore striker, has scored four
goals in the Owls' last three games. She has five on the season.
Michelle Mason (Fairport, NY) had three saves for KSC. Ryann
Archer finished with 11 saves for the Bears.
Keene State host rival Plymouth State on Saturday (1 p.m.).
