KEENE, N.H. (11/4/01) - Connie Spearnak's (Fort Collins, Co.)

the program's history. Jennifer Ortisi (Allenstown, NH) gave KSC a
1-0 lead with her ninth goal of the season at the 29:30 mark. When

offsides. Lisa Andruszkiewicz took advantage of an Owl turnover to
put Wellesley ahead 2-1 four minutes into the second half. KSC got

That set the stage for the game-winner by Sprearnak, who headed
in a shot served into the box by Bridget Jones (Seattle, Wash.).
"I thought we had the edge on them after regulation, but they
came down and scored," said KSC Coach Denise Lyons. We played well,
it was a game that could have went either way."
"Give Wellesley credit," she added. They're a very strong team
that never gave up. But we lose just three players, so hopefully we
can return to a tournament next year."
Michelle Mason (Fairport, NY) had four saves for KSC while
Senecal finished with 11 saves for Wellesley.
Sophomore defender Kelly Kehm (York, Pa.) of Wellesley was named
Tournament MVP.
