WILLIMANTIC, CT 3/10/02 - Keene State College men's lacrosse
team lost to Eastern Connecticut State University 17-4 in the 2002
season and Little East opener for both team on Saturday at
Willimantic.
Ranked 15th nationally and fourth in New England, the Warriors
scored the first 11 goals of the game. Andy Stockfisch had four
goals to lead ECSU. The Owls got on the board in the second half
with Joe Branciforte (Cromwell, CT), Craig DaLessandro (Bow, NH),
Chad Tiger Port Murray, N.J.), and Greg Richards (Nashua, N.H.)
netting goals for the Owls. D.J. Nordmark (So. Windsor, CT), Eric
Momnie (So. Windsor, N.Y.) and Meade McKay (Stratham, N.H.) were
credited with assists in the game. Making his first start in goal,
freshman Eric Delisle (Amhesrt, N.H.) had a busy day in goal for
KSC, facing 58 shots and making 17 saves.
Following a Spring Week trip to Florida, where they will
scrimmage Amherst College, the Owls will be at the University of
New England on Wed., March 27.
