LOUISVILLE, KY. – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) recently announced their men's lacrosse team of the week across all three NCAA divisions and Keene State College was represented on the NCAA Division III Team of the Week for the week of April 13 as Ty Cougler earned the recognition from his dominant week for the Owls.
 
Ty Cougler, a junior defender from Dover, New Hampshire, continued to cause havoc on both sides of the field for opponents over the past week as he also was named the Little East Conference Defensive Player of the Week as he caused 10 turnovers, while also collecting 16 ground balls over the two games for KSC. Against Western Connecticut State University on Tuesday, Cougler caused a game-high of six turnovers, while also collecting a game-high of nine ground balls. In the second game of the week in KSC's 9-8 win over Plymouth State University on Senior Day, Cougler had a team-high seven ground balls to go with yet another game-high of four caused turnovers in the victory. While recording his seven ground balls in the Senior Day victory, Cougler tallied his 200th career ground ball, becoming just the fourth member in program history to reach the milestone. Cougler also proved to be a huge issue in transition for opposing defenses as he netted three goals over the week with his first of the three coming 18 seconds into the second half against WestConn and the other two coming on Saturday against PSU in the win.
 
Cougler and the Owls round out their 2026 regular season with two games on the road, coming at the University of Massachusetts-Boston on Saturday, April 18, at 4:00 PM, followed by traveling to take on Eastern Connecticut State University on Friday, April 24, at 4:00 PM.
