KEENE, N.H. 4/11/02 - The Keene State College men's lacrosse
team extended its winning streak to a school record six games with
a 14-6 non-conference victory over Clark University in Keene on
Thursday.
Joe Branciforte (Cromwell, CT) had five goals and two assists to
lead the Owl's attack. He now has a team leading 30 goals this
season. Seven other Owl players found the back of the net including
Chad Tiger (Port Murray, N.J.) and Meade McKay (Stratham, NH), who
scored two goals each.
KSC opened up a 6-1 lead after the first quarter and went up 8-2
at the break.
Jeff Cohen led Clark University with three goals and two
assists.
Eric Delisle (Amherst, NH) had one save in the first quarter for
KSC while Ryan Connary (Portland, Me.) made 11 saves the rest of
the way. John Mangiaratti made 18 saves for the Cougars.
KSC will be at UMA-Dartmouth for a key Little East game on
Saturday (2 p.m.).
