NORTHFIELD, VT. 4/18/02 - Chad Tiger (Port Murray, N.J.) scored
a season high four goals to lead the Keene State College men's
lacrosse team to its eighth straight win, 17-7 over Norwich
University on Thursday.
Keene State improves to 8-1 on the season. It ties the record
for most victories in a season set by the 2000 team. Nowich goes to
5-5.
Trailing 5-4 at halftime, the Owls erupted for five goals in the
third quarter and eight more in the final quarter. Greg Richard
(Nashua, NH) had three goals while Joe Branciforte (Cromwell, CT),
Meade McKay (Stratham, NH) Eric Momnie (So. Windsor, Conn). and
Craig D'Allesandro (Bow, NH) finished with two goals each.
Eric Delisle (Amherst, NH) had 10 saves and Ryan Connary
(Portland, Me.) made one stop for the Owls. Zheng-Dong Gu had 26
saves for the Cadets.
Keene State returns home for a Little East game against Southern
ME on Saturday (3:30 p.m.).
