KEENE, N.H. 4/20/02 - Craig D'Allesandro (Bow, NH) and Joe
Branciforte (Cromwell, CT) scored three goals each to lead the
Keene State College men's lacrosse team to its ninth straight win,
a 13-2 Little East Conference victory over the University of
Southern ME in Keene on Saturday.
With its ninth win, KSC (9-1, 4-1 LEC) sets a program record for
victories in a season. The 2000 team had eight wins. Southern ME
goes to 5-1 (1-3 LEC).
The Owls scored four goals in each of the first two quarters and
added three more tallies in the third quarter. Greg Richard
(Nashua, NH), Chad Tiger (Port Murray, N.J.) and D.J. Clattenburg
(Concord, NH) finished with two goals each while Eric Momnie (So.
Windsor, CT) added three assists.
Nick Rich (Yarmouth, Me.) and T.J. Bell (Farmington, Me.) had
fourth quarter goals for the Huskies.
Eric Delisle (Amherst NH) made 15 saves before giving wau to
Ryan Connary (Portland, Me.) who made four saves in the final
quarter. Frank Leclairi (York, Me.) made 16 saves for USM.
Keene State will be at Curry College (3:30 p.m.) on Tuesday.
