KEENE, N.H. 4/23/02 - Chad Tiger (Port Murray, N.J.) scored four
goals to lead the Keene State College men's lacrosse team to its
10th straight win, a 11-6 non-conference victory over Curry College
in Milton, MA., on Tuesday.
With its 10th win, KSC (10-1) extends its program record for
victories in a season. Curry College goes to 8-6.
Holding a slim 7-5 lead after three quarters, the Owls outscored
the Colonels 4-1 in the final quarter. The KSC uprising included
Joe Branciforte's (Cromwell, Conn) third goal of the game, and
single goals by Eric Momnie (So. Windsor, CT), Greg Richard
(Nashua, NH) and Meade McKay (Stratham, N.H.) . D.J. Clattenburg
(Concord, NH) also scored for the Owls.
Eric Corso and Mark Lange had two goals each to lead Curry. KSC
goalie Ryan Connary (Portland, ME) and Curry netminder Jason Katsos
each stopped 21 shots.
Keene State returns home for a key LEC game against UMA-Boston
on Saturday (1 p.m.). A victory by the Owls would clinch second in
the conference.
