KEENE, N.H. 4/6/02 - Joe Branciforte (Cromwell, CT) had six
goals and two assists and Craig D'Allasandro (Bow, NH) and Spencer
Anastasio (san Marcos, Tx.) added three goals each to lead the
Keene State College men's lacrosse team to a 19-5 Little East
Conference victory over rival Plymouth State College at Owl Stadium
Complex on Saturday.
It was the Owls (4-1, 1-1 LEC) fourth straight win and the first
time they had defeated Plymouth State since the inception of the
program in the 1998 season.
"I think it was a history win for us," said KSC Coach Mark
Theriault. "The guys came prepared to play and we had a fine
all-around game."
Plymouth State falls to 2-4 (1-1 LEC).
The Owls led 6-1 after the first quarter and extended their lead
to 12-1 at the break. Eric Momnie (South Windsor, CT) also had two
goals and three assists for KSC. Kevin Finnerty (Bay Shore, NY) and
Jason Biedrycki (Amherst, NH) led PSC with a goal and an assist.
KSC goalie Eric Delisle (Amherst, NH) had 16 saves while Tim
McNamara (W. Lebanon, NH) (7 saves) and Dan Egan (Cambridge, MA.)
(8 saves) both saw action in goal for the Panthers.
KSC will host Daniel Webster College on Tuesday (4 p.m.).
