'NASHUA, N.H. 3/28/04 - Freshman attack Greg Gonzalez (Yorktown
Heights, N.Y.) scored four goals to lead the Keene State College
men's lacrosse team to a 16-2 victory over Daniel Webster College
on Sunday.
The Owls (3-2) took a commanding 11-1 lead going into
halftime.
Griff Kouhout (Northampton, Mass.) netted three goals and two
assists, while Sean Panora (South Windsor, Conn.) tallied three
goals and one assist in the victory. Roy Jones (Exeter, N.H.)
had two goals, and Andrew Denley (Wakefield, N.H.), Matt Hanko
(West Hartford, Conn.), Riley Alvord (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.), and
Judd Marineau (Montpelier, VT) tallied one goal each. It was
Alvord's and Marineau's first career goal.
Dan Haley (Tully, N.Y.) and Bill Daley (Westwood, Mass.) scored
Daniel Webster's only two goals.
Ryan Connary (Buxton, Me.), making his first start in goal this
season, finished with three saves for KSC. Gabe Berthiaume
(Charlton, Mass.) made 21 saves for DWC.
The Owls return to action on Tuesday (4 p.m.) when they play
Colby College at the University of New Hampshire.
