'NORTHFIELD, Vt. - Keene State's six-goal outburst in the first
quarter proved to be an obstacle too great for Norwich to overcome
as the Owls downed the Cadets 19-7, in men's lacrosse action
Thursday afternoon at Howard Field in Northfield, Vt. The game was
the home opener for Norwich, who fell to 0-2 with the loss.
Keene State (4-3) put up three goals in the first

freshman Greg Gonzalez scored four goals with one assist to lead
Keene State in scoring, while junior Eric Momnie and freshman Sean
Panora had three goals apiece.
Freshman attackman Dan Sullivan (Plymouth, Mass./Thayer Academy)
put the Cadets on the scoreboard with his first goal at the 5:45
mark of the first quarter. Sullivan tallied six goals during the
game, all unassisted.
Senior attackman Nick Dolpp (Williamsville, N.Y./Williamsville
East) scored the remaining Norwich goal.
Sophomore Jeff Thomas (Colorado Springs, Colo./Roy J. Wasson)
and freshman Kyle Rogers (Staten Island, N.Y./Tottenville) split
the goaltending duties for the Cadets, with Thomas making 10 saves
in 27 minutes of action while giving up 12 goals. Rogers had a pair
of saves in 33 minutes played.
Keene State goalies Eric Delisle and Ryan Connary combined for
13 saves in the Owl goal.
