'DANBURY, CONN. 4/15/04 - Returning to action after missing the
last six games with an injury, senior attack Joe Branciforte
(Cromwell, Conn.) had five goals and three assists and freshman
attack Greg Gonzalez (Yorktown Heights, NY) tallied five goals to
lead the Keene State College men's lacrosse team to a 14-3 Little
East Conference victory over Western Connecticut State University
in Danbury on Thursday.
The Owls improve to 6-4 (2-1 LEC), while the Colonials fall to
3-6 (0-4 LEC).
KSC who led 4-3 at the break, scored the next 10 goals in the
game.
Sean Panora (South Windsor, Conn.) had three goals and two
assists, while Travis Pedley (Bow, NH) added a goal and an assist.
C.J. Ferris (Danbury, Conn.), Justin Monroe (Norwalk, Conn.),
and Joe Neary (Naugatuck, Conn.) scored a goal apiece for the
Colonials.
Junior Ryan Connary (Buxton, ME) turned aside seven shots for
the Owls in goal. Peter Davidson (Bronx, NY) finished with 14
saves for WCSU.
Keene State returns to action on Saturday (3 p.m.) when it hosts
the University of Southern Maine.
