'PLYMOUTH, N.H. - Sophomores Greg Gonzalez (Yorktown Heights,
N.Y.) and Sean Panora (South Windsor, Conn.) and senior Eric Momnie
(South Windsor, Conn.) registered four points apiece Wednesday
afternoon to lead Keene State College to a 16-5 victory over
Plymouth State University in Little East Conference men's lacrosse
action at Panther Field.
The Owls led 6-2 after one quarter and 10-2 at halftime before
coasting home with the win in the second half. KSC improves
to 3-0 in the LEC, 4-4 overall, while PSU drops to 0-3 in
conference play and 2-6 overall.
Gonzalez led all scorers with four goals, while Panora and
Momnie added three goals and one assist each. Senior Greg
Richard (Nashua, N.H.) and freshman Ryan Hazelton (Chester, N.H.)
added two goals apiece for the Owls, and sophomore Mike LeSage
(Exeter, N.H.) and junior D.J. Clattenburg (Concord, N.H.) chipped
in with one goal each.
Freshman Adam Krinsky (Concord, N.H.) led the Panther scorers
with two goals and one assist. Sophomore Bobby Dabrieo
(Woburn, Mass.) added a goal and an assist, and freshman Mike
Russell (Concord, N.H.) and sophomore Nick Pearson (Peterborough,
N.H.) chipped in with one goal each.
Freshman Matt Johnson (Derry, N.H.) earned the win in the Owls'
goal with an 11-save effort. Sophomore Steve Valeri
(Chelmsford, Mass.) and sophomore Nick Grobe (Northboro, Mass.)
combined on 18 saves in the PSU goal.
PSU is back in action with two road games this weekend -
Saturday at UMass Boston (1:00 p.m.) and Sunday at Johnson State
(1:00 p.m.). Keene State returns home to host Western
Connecticut Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
