'KEENE, N.H. 3/24/07 - The Keene State College men's lacrosse
team (4-0) remained undefeated with a 14-4 non-conference victory
over the University of New England at Owl Athletic Complex on
Saturday.
Junior attack Peter Lauranzano (Beverly, Mass.) led the Owls
with four goals and one assist. He has nine goals this
season.
Sophomore attack Tony Santa Fe (Derry, N.H.) had three goals and
two assists and Alex Loscialpo (Westport, Conn.) and Taylor
Morassuti (Cheshire, Conn.) netted two goals each. Sean
Panora (South Windsor, Conn.), Mike Fontaine (Wolfeboro, N.H.), and
Jamie LeSage (Exeter, N.H.) added single goals for the Owls.
The Nor'easters (1-4) got goals from Jared Tetz (Kennebunk,
Me.), Juan Lozano Portsmouth, N.H.), Dan Leyden (Northfield,
Mass.), and Robert Labbe (Lewiston, Me.).
Lauranzano and Santa Fe each netted three goals each to help KSC
jump out to a 10-0 lead after the first quarter. The Owls
outscored UNE 3-1 in the second quarter to take a 13-1 lead to the
locker room.
Junior Matt Johnson (Derry, N.H.) had 12 saves for the Owls.
Sophomore goalie Andrew Briggs (Scituate, R.I.) stopped 13 shots
for UNE.
Keene State is at Williams College on Wednesday (4 p.m.).
University of New England hosts Roger Williams next Saturday (3
p.m.).
