'KEENE, N.H. 4/11/07 - The Keene State College men's
lacrosse team remained undefeated (9-0, 3-0 LEC) with a 13-4 Little
East Conference victory over rival Plymouth State University at Owl
Athletic Complex on Wednesday night.
Tony Santa Fe (Derry, N.H.) had three goals and two assists and
Sean Panora (South Windsor, Conn.) finished with three goals and an
assist to lead the Keene State attack. Mike LeSage (Exeter,
N.H.) chipped in with two goals and two assists and Peter
Lauranzano (Beverly, Mass.) added a goal and three assists.
Santa Fe leads the Owls in scoring with 19 goals and 21 points
for 40 points.
Kyle Belanger (Southington, Conn.) had two goals and Adam
Krinsky (Concord, N.H.) added two assists to lead the Panthers
(4-4, 1-2 LEC).
The Owls scored three goals in the first and second quarters on
the way to taking a 6-1 halftime lead. LeSage and Panora
scored two goals each in the first half.
Belanger netted the first goal of the second half to cut the
Owls lead to 6-2, but KSC responded with next two goals to go up
8-2.
Mike Fontaine (Wolfeboro, N.H.), Casey Brodersen (Derry, N.H.),
Taylor Morasutti (Cheshire, Conn.), and Andrew Denley (Wolfeboro,
N.H.) also netted goals for KSC.
Wes Downing (Glastonbury, Conn.) and Matt Johansmeyer (Shelburne
Falls, Mass.) also scored for PSU.
Matt Johnson (Derry, N.H.) had 11 saves for the Owls.
Steve Valeri (Chelmsford, Mass.) stopped 14 shots for the Panthers.
Both teams return to action on Saturday, Keene State hosts
Western Conn. (12 p.m.). and Plymouth State travels to
UMass-Boston (1 p.m.).
