BRIDGEWATER, Mass. 10/29/09 -- The Keene State College women's soccer team posted a 3-0 non-conference shutout victory over Bridgewater State College Thursday afternoon at Swenson Field in Bridgewater.

With the win, Keene State improves to 12-5-2 on the season while Bridgewater dips to 7-7-2.

Junior forward Nora Mahoney (Belchertown, MA)  paced the visiting Owls with a pair of goals.  Mahoney opened the scoring in the eighth minute as she knocked in a loose ball off a cross in front of the net.

Senior midfielder Molly Brunelle (Walpole, NH) set up Keene's second goal in the 11th minute of play as she headed the ball inside the 18.  Junior forward Katie Bradford (West Lebanon, NH) took the pass and ripped a shot into the back of the net for a 2-0 Owl lead. It was Bradford's team leading 11th goal of the season.

Mahoney capped of the scoring with her third goal of the season in the 87th minute.

Keene State sophomore goaltender Megan Dempsey (Weymouth, MA) made five saves to record her fifth shutout of the season. Junior netminder Kayla Grover (Haverhill, MA) turned aside two shots for the host Bears.

The Owls outshot the Bears by a margin of 15-8, while Bridgewater held a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Keene State wraps up its regular season on Saturday when its hosts Little East Conference foe Southern Maine at 1:30.
