Keene State men set four more school records at ECAC swim championship

            EAST MEADOW, N.Y. 12/4/10 – School records continued to fall for the Keene State men's swim team at the ECAC Winter Swimming Championships at the Nassau County Aquatics Center on Saturday. 

            The Owls set four new marks following two sessions in the pool.  Competing in the morning session, freshman Drew Ledwith (Keene, N.H.) set a new KSC record with his third place finish (1:56.28) in the 200 fly.  The team of junior Dan Morse (Hope, R.I.), and Lucas Pozzetta (Merrimack, N.H.), freshman Jared Hyde (Tolland, Conn.) and Ledwith also established a new meet and school record with a time of  6:58.54 in the 800 free relay,

            In other races, senior Cody Larrimore (Trappe, Md.) tied for second (46.26) in the 100 free race.

            The Owls set two more records on Saturday night.  Larrimore broke his own record with his first-place finish in the 100 fly (50.16) and Ledwith set his sixth record of the season with his fourth place performance in the 400 I.M. (4:08.53).  Junior Connor Pennoyer (Norwalk, Conn.) also took second in the 100 fly with a time of 51.35.

            Freshman James Black (Lynn, Mass.) also joined Hyde, Pennoyer, and Larimore to set a meet record with their first place finish (1:24.55) in the 200 free relay.

            After three sessions, Keene State is third in the team standings with 807 points.  Steven's tech leads with 1,475.5 points.

            The Championship concludes on Sunday.
