ORLANDO, FLA. 3/17/10 – The Keene State College
men's lacrosse team lost a 17-10 game to No. 6 ranked Geneseo
(N.Y.) State at Disney's Wild World of Sports Complex in
Orlando on Wednesday.
Sophomore Griffin Meehan (Simsbury, Conn.)
collected four goals and two assists and sophomore Matt
Schairer (Wrentham, Mass.) scored two goals for the Owls
(2-3), who have dropped their last two games.
Junior Craig Lange paced the attack for Geneseo (4-0) with two
goals and five assists and sophomore Brendan Kurpis added four
goals and two helpers.
Keene State fell behind 10-2 at the half. “They came
out really hard and it took us awhile to adjust,” said KSC
Coach Mark Theriault. “I thought we played better in
the second half and were able to outscore them.”
Freshman Jason Lesser (Brewster, N.Y.) started
in goal for KSC and made three saves before giving way to Junior
Alec Corliss (Waltham, Mass.) early in the second
quarter. Corliss finished with nine saves.
Keene State hosts Bowdoin College on March 23.
