ROXBURY, Mass.--Lauren Markoe finished 23rd overall out of a field of 301 to lead the Keene State College women's cross country team to a 12th place finish at the Open New England Championship on Saturday.

Markoe covered the 5K course in 19:11.51, after which came Rachel Klaski in 19:31.87, and Elizabeth McGurk in 19:57.29.  Katharine Lynch, with a time of 20:07.97, and Katelyn Terry, in 20:28.44

Keene State's 12th place finish was fourth amongst Division III schools at the meet.  New Hampshire won the overall race with 50 points, while Middlebury was the highest placing Division III school with 71 points, finishing second overall.  UNH's Hannah Kimball won the individual medal in 18:22.61.
