NEW LONDON, Conn.--Samantha Goldsmith finished fourth at the Connecticut College Invitational, helping the Keene State College women's cross country team to a second place finish on Saturday.
The Owls placed three in the top 20, starting with Goldsmith, who covered the 6K course in 22:11.89. Kait Wheeler was 15th with a time of 23:06.19, and Kaley Mientkiewicz was 19th in 23:17.65.
Carli Davis added a 29th place finish in 23:34.49, just ahead of teammate Molly Schaefer, who was 30th 23:35.91.
Audrey Regan of Stevens Tech (NJ) was the individual medalist 20:56.94, while Tufts University won the team event with 55 points. Keene State was second with 97 points.
The Owls return to the trails on November 1, as Keene State will look to win the Little East/Alliance Championship for the 15th straight year.
