BRIDGEWATER, Mass.--Morgan Kathan's goal with 13 minutes remaining gave the Keene State College women's soccer team a 2-1 win over Bridgewater State University on Wednesday night at Swenson Field

Keene State improves to 9-5-2, while the Bears fall to 9-5.

The Owls took an early lead in the 21st minute when Taylor Farland took the ball from the Bears and shot from the right side past Bears' goalie Lauren DeSousa for the 20th goal of her career and eighth this season.  

Bridgewater State equalized 15 minutes into the second half, as Caitlin Rowley tucked her fourth goal of the year inside the left post.   Five minutes later, KSC nearly went back in front as Kathan's shot was blocked, and DeSousa stuffed Rebecca Costello on the rebound.

The Owls found the go-ahead goal in the 77th minute, as Julia Pearson sent in a long cross-turned-shot that Kathan pounced on to score her third this year and second game winner.

Keene State outshot Bridgewater State 24-12, and got three saves from Danielle Warhall.  DeSousa made 10 stops for the Bears.

KSC welcomes UMass Boston to town on Saturday at 1 p.m.  Before the game, seniors Kathryn Hoar, Jennifer Wilson, Shannon Summers, and Ellen Granata will be honored at their final regular season game at Owl Athletic Complex.
